Scarification is the process of creating raised marks upon the skin utilizing implements to cut or burn. This process has roots in early civilizations across the globe and has been used to mark rites of passage into adulthood, achievements, and social status within communities. In modern practice it has become a means for self reclamation, as well as, a heavier form of bodily adornment.
In my practice I seek to help people explore their relationship with pain and reframe a conversation around societal taboos regarding certain modes of self harm, while creating meaningful artwork utilizing the body’s own natural healing processes.
Let’s create something beautiful out of pain.

While I would love to offer different forms of scarification, (in studio) I currently only offer cutting/peeling with scalpels with an emphasis on proper asepsis to ensure a clean process.
In a more primitive and ritual setting I am open to performing solar branding out of the studio (using a crystal orb as a magnifying glass), but this will require more discussion.
This process is exclusively for adults 18+
